Jean-Charles (J.C.) Cormier is a Professional Technologist and Senior Project Manager with more than 20 years of experience in Atlantic Canada. Since 1996, Mr. Cormier has responded to over 500 petroleum/chemical spills in Atlantic Canada and is well regarded in the insurance industry as a leader in his field. J.C. has conducted and managed over 150 hazardous materials assessments, including extensive work for the federal government in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland and Labrador. As part of our Client Education Program, J.C. has provided numerous lectures for landlords, tenants and building maintenance staff on safe procedures for working in a building containing asbestos and other hazardous building materials.
With more than 20 years of hands-on experience in the field, Mr. Cormier is responsible for the management, implementation and quality of all field operations undertaken by Hive Engineering; this includes mentoring and training junior staff. J.C. is also Hive’s Insurance Sector Lead and is responsible for driving the health and safety culture within the organization.
