Technical Expertise: Phase I/II/III Environmental Site Assessment (ESA), Remediation, Soil/Groundwater Treatment Option Optimization, Contaminated Sites Management
Tom MacNeil is a senior environmental engineer with more than 20 years of experience in contaminated sites management in Atlantic Canada. Mr. MacNeil has significant experience in large-scale project management of contaminated sites. Of particular note, Tom was the Project Manager and Technical Lead for the $300 million dollar remediation project at 5 Wing Air Force Base in Goose-Bay, Newfoundland and Labrador. The project included the assessment and monitoring of more than 300 monitoring wells, optimization and management of several multi-phase vapour extraction remediation treatment systems and preparation of a road map for obtaining regulatory closure for one of the most contaminated sties in Atlantic Canada.
Given his extensive federal government portfolio, Mr. MacNeil’s primary focus is as the Lead for Federal Government projects. Tom is also the manager and senior technical lead for the Fredericton branch location and is currently the Fredericton Councillor for the Association of Professional Engineering and Geoscientists New Brunswick.
